Maintains quality standards by approving outgoing materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.


Key Responsibilities

Inspect completed sewn covers/curtains using samples and drawings to identify any defects in the sewing or fabric

Communicates needed repairs to Cell management by noting on the piece it’s self the fault

Ensure all cushions are turned the right side out as they are inspected

Read and understand drawing and specifications

Monitor or observe operations to ensure that they meet production standards

Recommend adjustments to the process or assembly if necessary

100% Inspect, measure all cover/curtains produced in house or by sub-contractors, measure product with rulers or tap measures as required

Separate and quarantine all covers/curtains that fail to meet customers’ specifications

Discuss inspection results with those responsible for the making of the parts

Report inspection results onto P-Charts

Pack finished goods into boxes and store in despatch area

Book finished goods into the company computer system ERP/MRP


Key Qualifications

2 + years’ experience

Ability to read and interpret documents such as Drawings, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

Experience with Microsoft Office

Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications

Ability to analyse and solve problems

Strong organizational skills

Experience leading teams or projects

Sewing machine experience desirable

Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience.

Knowledge/understanding of part 21G, 145 and ISO/2008 certification
