First point of contact for all management queries in relation to the business area, covering the full employee lifecycle. Providing a comprehensive HR service to support and develop the business with the end goal of enhancing the business performance. Moreover, providing day to day HR and employee relations advice, expertise and guidance delivering a comprehensive HR and payroll service to the business area. Working to implement the HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance and adherence throughout the business.


Key Responsibilities

Carry out operational day to day HR tasks to deliver a best practice HR service to the business

Ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Providing expertise and guidance to the managers to ensure operational compliance

Working with the Operations Director and management team, coach and advise on all people issues

Collation of payroll data each month, ensure timely submission to the payroll bureau in readiness for checking and authorising final payrolls

Deal with all levels of disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR knowledge to support the operational teams on appropriate decision making
Manage all ER processes, including support on managing absence, grievances and sickness concerns

Support the recruitment of operational staff, managing the recruitment agencies and ensuring the right staff are in the right place at the right time

Where necessary work with the Group HR Manager on change management and re-structuring and new company integration programmes

Manage online system on ensuring all staff have the relevant right to work compliance and ID pass requirements, that are specific to the aviation industry

Where necessary support the Group HR Manager on Strategic projects and people resourcing across the Group

Ensure excellence and best practice implementation of facilitation and counsel staff in ER issues


Key Qualifications

HR Generalist experience within an operational/manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of employment law

Have a CIPD or equivalent qualification

A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development and reward for individuals

Previous payroll knowledge essential

Provide effective and positive communication across the group

Able to negotiate and influence across all staff levels

Understanding of a multi-faceted business operation

Superb communication skills

Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member

Experience of dealing with sometimes challenging individuals

Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the operational team

Confident of best practice HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development

Occasional travel to Worthing, Heathrow and Manchester sites
